Terms and Conditions - Casa Alba (Guest House)

1. Reservation and Payment:

1.1. To secure your reservation, authorization through a credit card for the total booking amount is required.

1.2. The outstanding balance will be charged to your credit card on the day of your arrival. Failure to make the payment may result in the cancellation of your reservation.

1.3. Payments can only be made with a credit card.

2. Cancellation Policy:

2.1. For bookings of 1 to 14 nights:

• Full refund if the guest cancels 7 days or more before the planned arrival date.
• No refund if the guest cancels within 7 days before the planned arrival date or in case of a no-show.

2.2. For bookings of more than 14 nights:

• Full refund if the guest cancels 14 days or more before the planned arrival date.
• No refund if the guest cancels within 14 days before the planned arrival date or in case of a no-show.

3. House Rules:

3.1. Guests are required to read and comply with the house rules on the separate page found here.

3.2. Failure to comply with the house rules may result in additional charges, eviction from the property, or termination of the rental agreement without refund.

4. Liability:

4.1. Casa Alba and its owners are not liable for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur during your stay on the premises.

4.2. Casa Alba and its owners do not assume responsibility for the loss or theft of personal belongings or valuables during your stay.

4.3. Guests are responsible for securing their personal belongings and valuables. We recommend using the provided safes or lockable storage facilities, if available.

4.4. Guests are fully liable for any damages caused to the property, furnishings, and decorations during their stay. Any repair or replacement costs will be charged to the guest`s credit card.

5. Indemnification:

5.1. Guests agree to indemnify Casa Alba and its owners from any claims, expenses, damages, or liabilities related to their stay or violation of these terms and conditions.

6. Changes or Cancellations by Casa Alba:

6.1. In the unlikely event that Casa Alba needs to cancel your reservation, we will make every effort to offer alternative accommodations. If no suitable alternative is available, a full refund will be issued.

6.2. Casa Alba reserves the right to make changes to the reservation or accommodation if necessary. In such cases, reasonable efforts will be made to inform guests in a timely manner.

7. Law and Jurisdiction:

7.1. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes related to these terms and conditions are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal.
